KennyChesney ticketsKenny Chesney’s New Album Is Called ‘Life On A Rock’

Kenny Chesney’s 16th studio album, Life on a Rock, is due out April 30. Chesney says you can take the “rock” to mean anything you want but to him it means “island.” The ten-track opus, Chesney’s second studio album in less than a year, is produced by Buddy Cannon. The work’s lead single is “Pirate Flag.”

Chesney will hit the road about six weeks before his album drops. His “No Shoes Nation Tour” begins March 16 in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium. It ends Aug. 24 in one of his favorite places to jam, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Chesney has routed 43 concerts in 40 cities. He has back-to-back shows in Uncasville, Las Vegas, and Foxborough. Before launching his sojourn, Chesney will perform at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Houston, Texas. Then during his outing, he’ll make appearances at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival on July 7 and the Craven Country Jamboree on July 14. Both music festivals are in Canada.

Your Kenny Chesney tickets will also get you a set of live music from Eli Young Band, and Kacey Musgraves. Depending on the date, you might also see and hear Zac Brown Band or Eric Church.

In 2012, Chesney teamed with good friend Tim McGraw for a trek of North America called “Brothers of the Sun.” It was the top country music concert tour of the year. Its 23 shows grossed more than $96 million and attracted more than a million cowboys and cowgirls.

The duo is not teaming up in 2013 but each is headlining their own concert tour. We’ve already enumerated Chesney’s outing. McGraw’s “Two Lanes of Freedom Tour” shifts into gear May 2 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Just because the two superstars are lighting the circuit separately doesn’t mean fans can’t see them both in concert in 2013. Well, fans that live in 21 lucky markets can see them live. That’s how many stops the two singers have in common.

Chesney and McGraw are both booked to perform at RodeoHouston. McGraw will take to their stage on March 8 while Chesney will be there on March 12. Also, both men will grace the Craven Country Jamboree. McGraw is scheduled for July 12 while Chesney’s appearance is programed for two days later.

Another city hosting concerts by both artists is Las Vegas. McGraw doesn’t visit Sin City as part of his tour. It’s the location of his residency show with wife Faith Hill. Chesney descends on the City of Lost Wages April 19 and 20 for gigs at The Joint. That’s a Friday and Saturday night and the only weekend in April (besides the first) that McGraw and Hill are not performing at The Venetian.

For more cities/markets in which Chesney and McGraw are visiting see the itinerary below.

Apart they are only visiting two fewer markets than they did as a team. Also, seeing each of them individually means you’re treated to a full set of their music and up to five additional artists (McGraw’s bringing along Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft). Of course, the down side is you have to buy two concert tickets instead of one. Start saving your pennies.
